Full Job Description
Cleans and assembles foundry molds to prepare them for pouring: Cleans inside surface of sand molds with airhose. Positions cores in drags. Thrusts rod into ventholes to remove obstructions. Fits and clamps cope and drag together to form flask. Places runner cup over pouring hole. May patch and smooth damaged portions of mold, using spoon or trowel. May assist in pouring metal into molds. May remove castings from molds.
